Exactly one week after three at-large members were re-elected, the Batavia City Council begins talks to renew the contract of City Manager Jason Molino.
Council president Gene Jankowski, one of the three just elected, says the new contract will be a process...

"Jason's present contract is over 10 years old and has no expiration date. So, Jason drew up a contract  and submitted it to Council and we are now in the process of going through that contract and making a counter proposal."

Last month, council voted 5 to 4 to deny Molino a 2.75% pay raise. He currently makes $93,782 a year.
Molino reported last night that the he continues to interview candidates for the position of assistant city manager, a post that has been vacant since last July.
