29-year-old Timothy Logsdon is facing two charges: knowingly transporting a minor in interstate commerce with the intent to engage in sexual activity and traveling in interstate commerce for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct.
The charges carry a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison, a 250-thousand dollar fine, or both.
Based on a Criminal Complaint this past Saturday, the 16-year-old girl’s parents reported her missing to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department. During an interview with Special Agents from the FBI, the victim’s parents indicated that she might be with Logsdon.
Law enforcement officers traced Logdon’s cell phone activity to a specific location where he was then discovered by the Kentucky State Police in Bowling Green along with the minor victim.
The defendant was placed under arrest and remains in custody.
