An Oakfield man is accused of illegally installing a water line.
Following an investigation into a complaint filed by the Village of Oakfield, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office charged 60-year-old Robert Hilchey of North Pearl Street with theft of services.
He allegedly installed a water supply line at the Oakfield Fire Department, prior to the Village’s water meter, allowing himself and others use of the water before it could be measured by the meter.
Hilchey was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Oakfield Court March 18.
An Attica man is facing a felony burglary charge for allegedly stealing from an Alabama residence back over Father’s Day weekend last year.
John Slack, 27, of Exchange Street, is accused of entering the Knowlesville Road home without permission and stealing electronics, jewelry, money and other valuables.
Following arraignment, Slack was released on his own recognizance. He is already in Department of Corrections custody at the Attica Correctional Facility on an unrelated matter.
He is scheduled to re-appear in Alabama Town Court April 4.
