City Police were called to the Days Inn in Batavia Thursday where 26-year-old Rachel Baehr of Church St., LeRoy was reportedly asking for help after consuming drugs.

Officials say they found Baehr under the influence of drugs and in possession of marijuana and another controlled substance.  

Baehr’s two small children were allegedly in the room. She is facing four total charges including endangering the welfare of a child and was jailed on $1,500 bail.


A 61-year-old Batavia man is accused of punching a woman in the face who has an order of protection against him.

Francis Sheehan of East Main St was jailed without bail for the alleged incident which occurred on Thursday. He is charged with harassment and a felony count of criminal contempt.


A Batavia woman is facing two charges including one felony for allegedly entering the residence of someone who has an order of protection against her.

37-year-old Summer Ogden of Central Avenue is charged with criminal contempt and burglary. The criminal contempt charge is elevated to a felony because she has been convicted of the charge within the last five years.

Ogden was jailed without bail.


A Medina man is accused of stealing rolled up snow fence posts laying on the side of Lewiston Road. The Town of Oakfield Highway Department was planning to collect them soon.

47-year-old Darrin Moreland is charged with petit larceny. He is due in Court April 15.
