Law enforcement is called to disturbance in the City of Batavia.
Batavia Police, State Police and Genesee County Sheriff's Deputies surrounded a home at 12 Highland Park at about 1:30 this afternoon.Several of the officers took aim on the house with high powered rifles, while other alwmen drew their service revolvers.
Detective Richard Schauf of the Batavia Police Department tells WBTA that there were unconfirmed reports of weapons inside the house. Persons inside may have been held against their will, he said.
Police closed Highland Park between Jackson Street and Central Avenue.
WBTA’s Dan Fischer was at the scene where four suspects were led out of the house in handcuffs just before 2 p.m.
We will report more details on-air and online as they become available from law enforcement.
