Police release surveillance photo from Oakfield armed robbery last week. Suspect could be the same person who held up the best Western and the Days Inn in Batavia.

The Batavia Police Department and the Genesee County Sheriff's Office are asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect, or suspects, in a string of armed robberies.
Armed robberies have occurred at the Days Inn, City of Batavia, the 7-Eleven Store, Village of Oakfield, and the Best Western Crown Inn and Suites, Town of Batavia. In all three robberies a weapon was displayed and the suspect threatened the clerks.
A handgun was displayed in the 7-Eleven and Best Western robberies while a shotgun was displayed at the Days Inn. The suspect description in all three robberies are similar as well as the time of day that all three robberies have occurred.
If anyone recognizes the subject in the attached photos or has any information regarding any of the robberies please contact the City of Batavia Police or Genesee County Sheriff's Office by calling 911. All information is confidential.
Police advise residents that the best action to take in a situation like this is to comply. Do not take matters into your own hands, putting your life at risk. If confronted by this situation remain calm, do as requested and call 911 as soon as it is safe to do so. Provide as much information to the Dispatcher as possible including the suspects last known direction of travel, clothing description, race, gender, vehicle information if used as well as the type of weapon displayed.
