If you had a personal belonging stolen in the Village of Oakfield over the past year, chances are the alleged thief involved has been arrested.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 18-year-old Dalton Long, who currently lives in Caledonia.
He was jailed on $15,000 cash bail. Long is facing 10 charges so far including three felony charges of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and identity theft.
Deputies say Long had been stealing items from cars overnight since January 2013.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
There was another arrest this week for someone accused of stealing items from unlocked cars in the Village of Oakfield, so remember to lock those doors.
