A Wyoming County man charged with the rape of a 16 year old girl.
34 year old Charles Bozzette of South Main Street in Perry is charged with Third Degree Rape, a felony, punishable by up to four years in prison.
Bozzette was arraigned in Perry Village Court and sent to the Wyoming County Jail on $20,000 bail.
A former York Town Justice agrees to never be a judge again.
Former Justice Walter Purtell was accused of barring media from the arraignment of Danielle Allen on Manslaughter charges.
Allen is the daughter of a New York State Police Major and Purtell is a former State Police Officer himself.
Purtell resigned at the end of February.
He has now agreed to never seek a judgeship again.
The commission says that closes the case against Purtell.
Town of Batavia is seeking a new look.
Following the successful Ellicott Trail logo contest, Town of Batavia Officials are hoping to use a similar method to select a new town logo.
Officials are looking for an emblem that incorporates the town's history while acknowledging recent development.
The new logo could be used on items such as exterior signs, Town vehicles, and the town's website.

A Lockport teenager will return to court today for sentencing after admitting his role in a deadly fire.
The 14-year-old boy pleaded guilty yesterday to arson and burglary charges as part of a plea bargain.
The boy admitted to starting the fire last year at the High Tread International plant. Charges related to the fire death of 14-year-old Joseph Phillips were dropped in exchange for the plea.
