A Vine Street man is charged with Felony Grand Larceny after allegedly bilking an elderly woman out of nearly $60,000.
The arrest was made this morning. 41-year-old Myron Hartford was taken into custody, culminating a 3-month investigation by Batavia Police.
Hartford first came on the radar back in October, when Batavia Police received a complaint about a suspicious man trying to cash $5,500 worth of checks at a local bank.
Police began tracking Harford and discovered that he had allegedly skimmed over $58,000 off a local woman between September 2009 and October 2010.
Hartford is locked up on $50,000 bail. Due back in court on Tuesday.
