Age: 75
Died: Monday, April 14, 2014, at his home. Mr. Gayton worked for Trojan Industries, Batavia, for 31 years, was the former Town of Bethany Highway Superintendent, and was the current Town of Bethany Supervisor and was a self employed electrician. He was a member of the Bethany Fire Department and served as a Board Director for the American Red Cross, Batavia Chapter. Calling hours are from 4pm to 8pm, Thursday, April 17, at the funeral home, 98 North Main Street, Perry, where services will be held Friday, 11am.

Died: Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at UMMC. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Prior to his Army service he worked as a machinist for Massey Harris. Following his discharge, he became a plasterer and union mason employed by George Stratton Contracting. He worked for the Genesee County Highway Department for 26 years. He was a life time member of the New Apostolic Church, Batavia. There will be no prior visitation. A memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 5, at the Church, 314 Pine Ridge Road, Cheektowaga. Memorials are suggested to the Batavia VA Medical Center.

Died: Friday, March 21, 2014, at United Memorial Medical Center. She was a lifetime member of St. Padre Pio Parish in Oakfield. Mrs. Battaglia and her deceased husband, Charles, owned and operated LeRoy Wallpaper & Paint for many years. Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the funeral home. Died: Tuesday, March 11, 2014. He was called to the ministry at the age of 17, serving various churches in Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Airforce with tours in Okinawa and Vietnam. He served as Chaplain with the Corfu and Darien Fire Departments. He spendt the last eleven years, as Minister of the Corfu United Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at the church, 63 Allegheny Street, Corfu, Saturday, March 15, 1pm.

Bill was a dairy farmer and worked for many years, first with his father and then with his sister’s family at Czapeczka Brother’s Farm in Corfu. He loved being outdoors, from driving his Farmall H tractor to cutting firewood with his nephew. Family and friends may call Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 18 West Main Street, Corfu.

He was an avid horseman who owned racehorses and enjoyed farming and raising animals. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Resurrection Parish. Family and friends may visit Friday, February 14, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph’s site) at noon Saturday, February 15, 2014.
