The Batavia Society of Artists is hosting artist Rebecca Maynard on Tuesday, November 12, 7pm, at Go Art, 201 East Main Street, Batavia. She will be doing a hands on Acrylic pour on Christmas ornaments and tiles. Non members welcome.

Day of Sharing
Share the warmth – United Way Day of Sharing, Wednesday, November 20th. Bring new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, thermal socks, infant car seat covers to a drop off location near you. You can bring your donations now to WBTA Studios, 113 Main Street, Batavia or on November 20th to: United Way Office Parking Lot, 29 Liberty Street, Batavia; Liberty Pumps Parking Lot, Bergen; or Boy Scouts office, Oakfield, between 11am to 1pm or 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Toy Drive
Ken Barrett Chevrolet Cadillac, the Salvation Army and  WBTA team up for the annual Toy Drive  to benefit those in need in Genesee County, Friday, December 13, 9am to 4pm. Bring your new toys into the Ken Barrett showroom, Main Street, Batavia .If you can not make it on December 13, you can bring your toys to the WBTA Studios, 113 Main Street, Batavia.
Office for the Aging Activities
Genesee County Office for the Aging holds weekly activities for Exercise, Bridge, Cribbage, Euchre, Line Dancing, Quilters, and Art. Call the office , 343-1611, for more information and times. New participants always welcome.Other program offerings include information on Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Caregiver Support groups, and grief following caregiving.
 
DAV Volunteer Transportation Network
The DAV Volunteer Transportation Network is in need of volunteer drivers to transport veterans to and from medical appointments in Buffalo and Batavia. Contact: Doug Titus 585-297-1170
Homecare & Hospice
Homecare and Hospice is looking for volunteers to serve as little as four hours per week. Opportunities include office work, events and training to help people facing the end of life. To make a difference, join the Hospice team by calling: 800-719-7129
Blood Donors
The American Red Cross is in urgent need of blood donor. If you can help to save a life, contract the American Red Cross and schedule an appointment to donate blood. Persons who are 17 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate.
