Music for Missions Charity lawn concert at River Springs Lodge, Church Road, Darien Center, will be held for Hunter’s Hope, Sunday, August 4. Doors open at 5:15. Fireworks follow the concert. Tickets available on line.

Arc of Genesee Orleans  5K
Registration is now open for the 15th annual Friends and Family Arc Genesee Orleans 5K to be held Saturday, September 21, in Elba. Race starts at 10am on certified course. Office for the Aging Activities
Genesee County Office for the Aging holds weekly activities for Exercise, Bridge, Cribbage, Euchre, Line Dancing, Quilters, and Art. Call the office , 343-1611, for more information and times. New participants always welcome.Other program offerings include information on Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Caregiver Support groups, and grief following caregiving.
K9 Destro Memorial Fundraising
K9 Destro died from cancer in October, ending his 5 year career with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office. If you would like to contribute to his memorial and help get another K9 ; make checks payable to Genesee County Sheriff’s Office K9 Fund, 165 Park Road, Batavia or donate to a non profit to Genesee County Deputy Sheriff’s Association, P O Box 492, Batavia. The American Red Cross is in urgent need of blood donor. If you can help to save a life, contract the American Red Cross and schedule an appointment to donate blood. Persons who are 17 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate.
