New charges have been filed against Guillermo Torres-Acevedo, the 22 year old Batavia man suspected of taking a Bergen teenager from her home last November.
Acevedo is now charged with custodial interference, criminal contempt and child endangerment.
The incident prompted an Amber Alert for the girl who was found with Acevedo in Mansfield, Pennsylvania.
Acevedo remains jailed without bail.
There are going to be two concerts this summer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. As part of Woodstock 50, one concert will be held at the Watkins Glen Speedway and another at The Bethel Woods Center for The Arts. The venues are about 150-miles apart and the concerts will happen the same weekend of August 16th. Performers have not been named, but Carlos Santana, who performed at the original Woodstock in 1969, said he’s in for the event.
The Buffalo Bills are asking fans for their input on a possible new stadium. A survey was sent out to season ticket holders asking them what they thought about the idea of New Era Field being renovated or a new stadium being developed.
Some of the questions included how much more money fans would be willing to pay to see their team and also what they’d like to see in a new facility.
Governor Cuomo is issuing a warning, should state lawmakers approve the use of recreational marijuana.
He says any legislation should factor in the cost of the drug in other states or the black market.
The governor says if the costs are too high, business will be driven back to states where recreational marijuana is illegal.
The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement this afternoon for Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming counties.
The weather service predicts bitterly cold wind chills for tonight into Friday morning.
The combination of cold temperatures and persistent winds will drop wind chills to well below zero in some areas.
