A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for Batavia and Genesee County until 10 tonight.
The National Weather Service is predicting Freezing Drizzle and a glaze of ice accumulation.
Plan on slippery road conditions especially during the evening commute.
The advisory extends to Orleans, Wyoming, Erie and Niagara counties as well.
The City of Batavia Republican Committee is seeking candidates interested in running for offices this November.
The City GOP is looking for candidates for City Court Judge, City Council in Wards 1-6 and County Legislators in Districts 7-9.
Letters of interest can be mailed to City Republican Chairman David Saleh.

The Genesee County Chamber of Commerce has announced their annual awards for 2018.
Business of the Year goes to Genesee Lumber, a company with 90 years of service to the area.
The Agricultural Organization of the Year is Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Geneseean of the Year is Bob Stocking of Corfu.
A special service recognition will be awarded to the Batavia Rotary Club, marking its 100th year.
The Chamber’s annual awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 2nd.

The City of Batavia is picking up Christmas Trees until the end of the month.
Be sure to place trees in the parkway, the area between the sidewalk and street.
You are also reminded to remove all decorations, lights and stands.
Governor Cuomo is looking to ban stretch limousines in New York following last year’s horrific limo crash downstate
Cuomo also plans to announce a number of safety reforms for limos in his budget address today. They include requiring a commercial driver license for limo drivers, requiring seatbelts in all large passenger vehicles and stricter penalties for those who fail to get such vehicles re-inspected.
Last October, 20 people died when an SUV that had been converted into a limo and recently failed an inspection crashed in Schohaire County.
