Batavia Society of artists will host a demonstration on painting outdoors, Tuesday, July 12, 6pm to 8pm in the backyard at Karen's Yarn, Paper, Sissors, 550 East Main Street, Batavia. Bring a lawn chair.

Richmond Memorial Library will host a four week  creative writing workshop series, starting July 13 at 6pm. Program open to high school students age 15 and over and adults of all ages.
