Buell Street pair jailed after being stopped driving on 33 suspensions with drugs

Two Buell Street residents are behind bars after being stopped for an alleged traffic violation on North Spruce Street in the city.
City Police stopped 54 year old David Vega Tuesday night for having an unsecured front plate and a brief roadside investigation Officer’s discovered that Vega was driving on a suspended and revoked license.
He reportedly had 33 suspensions and revocations of which 30 were on 20 separate dates.
28 year old Jennifer Hogan also of Buell Street was a passenger in the vehicle and was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia, Marijuana and an open container of Corona beer.
Vega was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree while Hogan was hit with counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, Open Container and Unlawful Pot Possession.
Both were committed to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail a piece.
