Drug Task Force Arrests Three on Drug Charges

The Genesee County Local Drug Enforcement Task Force, comprised of Police Officers from the Genesee County Sheriffs Office, Batavia Police Department, and the Leroy Village Police Department arrested 3 local men Wednesday afternoon as the result of a traffic stop conducted by Batavia Police.

One has been granted youthful offender status by the court.

David C. Renteria, age 18, of Bernd Rd., Pavilion, N.Y. charged with:

Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance 7th a class A-Misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law. (2 counts) Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, a class A-Misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law. {1 count)

Eric J. Bratcher, age 29, of Pringle Ave. Batavia, N.Y. charged with:
Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance 7th, a class A-Misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law. (1 count) Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd a class A-Misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law. (1 count)

On Wednesday May 9 Batavia Police conducted a traffic stop on Pringle Ave. in the City Of Batavia. During the traffic stop Task Force members allegedly found the occupants of the vehicle to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine. a quantity of Oxycodone. a quantity of marihuana. and some drug paraphernalia. The operator (Beaumont) was issued a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation. All three were issued appearance tickets for the other charges and are to appear in Batavia City Court at a later date.

Task Force members were assisted by Batavia Police Officers.
