The GCEDC has teamed up with the Genesee Valley Educational Partnership (GVEP), Cyprus Creek Renewables, and Edge Factor to make significant progress in addressing the workforce development challenges faced by Western New York’s companies, schools and families.
By bringing Edge Factor’s innovative web platform of high-energy videos and interactive tools to schools in Genesee County, the GCEDC is building a connection between students, parents, teachers, counselors, and businesses that aligns the needs of each stakeholder with in-demand career pathways found across the region.
14 school districts in the Genesee Valley Educational Partnership have signed up for Edge Factor, which will provide a unified method of connecting students to STEM and skilled trades careers through Edge Factor’s streaming video platform, which is stocked with videos and interactive tools filmed and produced by Edge Factor, including inspirational content and soft skills training.
