An Albion man has been arrested for criminally negligent homicide for allegedly supplying an opiate to his wife who then overdosed and died.
33 year old Megan McMullen died on December 18th of last year from an overdose of Fentanyl that police say was given to her by her husband Kevin.
Following a nine month long investigation, 32 year old Kevin McMullen was arrested by Albion Police and charged providing the drug to Megan and failing to get her medical attention in time to save her life.
He is locked up in lieu of $50,000bail.
Albion Police said the investigation has led to the identification of several Fentanyl and Heroin dealers in the Rochester who were supplying drugs in Orleans County.
Batavia’s Bed Bath and Beyond is closing.
Store management has confirmed that the housewares retailer on Veteran’s Memorial Drive will shut down.
No date has been set for the store’s closing.
The lease with mall owner COR Development has expired.

Foul language leads to arrest for an Elba man.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested 29 year old Colton Chappius of South Main Street after he was accused of violating a Family Court Order of Protection during a custody exchange in Elba on Saturday.
Lawmen say Chappius used loud and vulgar language during the exchange.
Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly had surgery at a New York City hospital today. The Hall of Famer was expected to have permanent dentures installed as he recovers from oral cancer. Doctors were able to remove the disease from his upper jaw and lymph nodes in his neck earlier this year.
Hydrant flushing starts tomorrow in the city.
The City Fire Department will be flushing fire hydrants Wednesday through Friday from approximately 9am to 3pm each day in the areas north of West Main Street and west of Bank Street.
Homes and businesses nearby will be affected with a temporary discoloration of water.
