We are under a high wind advisory for this afternoon.
The National Weather Service is forecasting out of the west at 25 to 35 miles an hour with possible gusts to 50mph.
The advisory extends to Orleans and Wyoming counties and remains in effect until 6PM this evening.
Now that the state budget has been passed, lawmakers are turning their attention to the rest of this year’s legislative agenda.
The main item is legalizing recreational marijuana, which was supposed to be part of the budget.
Governor Cuomo said earlier this week he’s optimistic a law can be passed before lawmakers leave Albany in June.
Another item under consideration includes a way for undocumented immigrants to apply for drivers’ licenses.
On the bad boys report this afternoon:
25 year old Ryan Wetsell: he was arrested for a fracas last week at a hotel on Federal Drive. Deputies say Wetsell grabbed another person and hit them in the face.
34 year old Dorsie McGill of Quaker Hill Road: he’s accused of kicking in the door to a family member’s home.
McGill was charged with Criminal Mischief and Trespassing and jailed in lieu of $1,500 bail.
