A Batavia man remains hospitalized with injuries suffered when his truck crashed into a car in Lockport.
28 year old Brandon Loucks of Batavia was seriously hurt in the crash last Thursday afternoon.
Loucks was driving a box truck at the time and crossed the center line of the highway. The driver of the car, 44 yrear old Brian Ralph of Lockport, was killed.
No charges have been filed but the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.

A North Spruce Street man facing a series of charges for violating a stay-away order and allegedly stealing the car of the person he was ordered to avoid.
37 year old Gary Burney is locked up without bail.
Batavia Police say the suspected incident happened last November.

An accused Batavia crack dealer taken in by Local Drug Task Force.
35 year old Joshua Bachorski of Spruce Street is accused of selling crack cocaine to a Drug Task Force agent last December.
Bachorski is in the Genesee County Jail on $20,000 bail.

A Wyoming County woman is behind bars allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from her family.
20-year-old Christine Barr of Arcade was arrested or taking from a family member’s checking account.
Police said she used account information to make cash withdrawals since January.

U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer says the Federal Aviation Administration has taken a nose dive in safety. Schumer’s office audited the agency and found fines against airlines decreased after 2014 and took a real steep drop in 2017. His audit comes shortly after a person was killed when an engine exploded on a Southwest Airlines flight and when a sightseeing helicopter ride in New York City went down killing five people.
