The Town of Pavilion has cashed in at the state’s pay window to the tune of 325-thosuand dollars for a new water tower.
The grant announced by State Senator Michael Ranzenhofer.
The project will extend public water service to 230 homes that do not have access now, and provide additional storage tank protection to 90 homes already connected to public water.
The Town is holding a public hearing on the project tonight at 7:30 at the Town Hall on Woodrow Drive.

It’s the first full day on the job for Barbara Underwood as New York’s Acting Attorney General.
Underwood was sworn in yesterday after Eric Schneiderman resigned from the job amid allegations he assaulted women.
The State Assembly could select a longer term replacement.
Underwood is the first woman to hold the office.

A Corfu scrap yard routinely burns its discarded wooden pallets,.
But this fire, got out of control.
The fire started around 5:30 last night at the Ed Arnold Scrap Yard on Angling Road.
Thick black smoke from the fire was visible for miles.
Nine volunteer fire companies fought the blaze. No one was injured.

A man is seriously injured after falling 40 feet off a silo in East Pembroke.
A man identified only as in his 50’s was climbing up the side of a silo when a rung on the ladder broke.
He suffered broken bones and possible internal injuries.
He was taken via Mercy Flight to ECMC
His name and condition have not been released.
