NYSP: Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Alexander

On August 31, Troopers out of SP Batavia responded to a one motorcycle serious injury collision on Broadway Road (SR 20) in the village of Alexander. Further investigation reveals that a 2005 Harley Davidson was traveling eastbound on Broadway Road and was slowing for the intersection of State Route 98 to make a right turn. The operator, Frank L. Eckart, 65 of Saegertown, PA lost control ejecting him and the 61-year-old passenger. Both occupants sustained serious injuries and were transported by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center.
On September 1, 2019 the operator Eckart expired from his injuries.
