YWCA Fundraising Continues as Board Makes Budget Cuts
Written by WBTA STAFF on May 31, 2018
The recently expanded Board of Directors for the Genesee County YWCA had to address some serious financial concerns at the beginning of the year, with a number of services needing to be cut including child care.
Executive Director for the YWCA Millie Tomidy-Pepper said other organizations have picked up what the Y had to drop…
She added that she was overwhelmed with the outpouring of donations and support from local businesses and community members.
The organization is finding their financial footing, however they still need to take steps to raise funds for continued operations.
Two fundraisers are scheduled for next month.
The first is slated for Sunday June 10th at T.F Browns and a second is on Saturday June 16th at the hotdog stand in the Peace Garden.
