Scheepers and Ardle Named Genesee Athletes of the Week
BATAVIA, NY… Sophomores Diante Scheepers from women’s soccer and Ollie Ardle from men’s soccer were named Genesee Athletes of the Week for the Week of October 14.
Diante Scheepers scored three goals against Finger Lakes to help the Cougars get the comeback victory over the Lakers. On the season, the sophomore from Willemstad, Curacao has nine goals and eleven assists in 12 games played.
Ollie Ardle is second on the team in goals with 10 and has started 15 games so far this season for Genesee. In the Cougars games against Finger Lakes and Fulton-Montgomery, Ardle has scored three goals and added three assists.
The Cougars are home on Tuesday against Mercyhurst Northeast starting at 4pm in the regular season home finale and then will play on the road at SUNY Broome Saturday.
