MacLeod and Kirisits named Genesee Athletes of the Week
BATAVIA, NY… Baseball player Jakob MacLeod and women’s lacrosse player Hannah Kirisits were named Genesee Athletes of the Week for the week of April 8.
Jakob MacLeod was one hit away from completing the cycle in the Cougars road win at Corning. MacLeod only needed a single to complete the cycle. On the mound this week against the Red Barons, the Toronto, Ontario native threw a complete game, three hitter while striking out nine. Baseball is at Finger Lakes Tuesday afternoon, home to the Lakers Thursday afternoon, and home on Saturday against Jamestown CC.
Hannah Kirisits scored four goals in the Cougars’ 22-3 win at Mohawk Valley CC this past Saturday. The Lancaster, NY native assisted on the lone goal in their game at nationally-ranked Onondaga Community College. Women’s lacrosse is in action this week on Wednesday (April 10) at Erie Community College, followed by back to back home games vs North Country Community College Saturday April 13 and Sunday April 14 starting at 12 noon.
