Chiodo and Kams Named Genesee Athletes of the Week
BATAVIA, NY… Men’s lacrosse player Jason Chiodo and softball pitcher Emily Kams were named Genesee Athletes of the Week for the week of April 22.
Jason Chiodo recorded seven points in Genesee’s 14-2 victory over Herkimer College Saturday. On the season, Chiodo has 29 goals and 32 assists for 61 points. Genesee concludes their 2019 NJCAA Lacrosse regular season at Jefferson CC on Saturday.
Emily Kams threw a complete game, striking out four and giving up one run on six hits to earn the win, her sixth of the season in Genesee’s game one victory against Monroe CC. She would strike out five Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves in their 12-8 victory during the week. Genesee will travel to Corning Community College Tuesday, before hosting Tompkins Cortland CC Saturday at 1pm and SUNY Broome on Sunday at 1pm.
