Men’s Basketball Drops Close Conference Contest at Erie
The Genesee men’s basketball team lost a close game to #10 Erie Community College Kats 70-68 on Wednesday night at the Burt Flickinger Center. With the loss, Genesee’s record is 9-8 on the season and 0-1 in Western New York Athletic Conference action.
Region III Male Athlete of the Week Jamir Cheek scored 11 points and added nine rebounds. Jarett Haines scored a game-high 26 points, while Souleymane Gueye added 15 points, and eight rebounds.
Genesee returns home on Saturday, January 26, as the Monroe Community College Tribunes come to Batavia with tip-off scheduled for 3:00pm.
