Cougars Lose Tough Contest on the Road
CANANDAIGUA, NY… The Genesee women’s basketball team suffered a tough loss on the road on Tuesday night, losing to the Finger Lakes Community College Lakers 55-47 at Putt Moore Court.
Sophomore guard Grace McComb scored 13 points coming off the Cougars bench and dished out five assists, while Freshman guard Erina Ishiguro added 13 points. Genesee female Athlete of the Week LisBeth Pineda Polanco scored 12 points and seven rebounds. The Cougars were down by as many as 14-points in the final quarter of action, but Genesee was able to cut the lead to eight points by the end of the game.
Genesee returns to action on Wednesday, December 5th at 5:00pm as they take on Villa Maria College. The game will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com and all updates will take place on Genesee’s social media pages.
