Women’s Basketball Earns Conference Win at Erie
The Genesee women’s basketball team outscored the host Erie Community College Kats 42-29 in the second half to earn a 76-62 win on Wednesday night at the Burt Flickinger Center. With the victory, Genesee improves their record to 13-5 on the season
Cougars Female Athlete of the Week Ta’Lia Burgess had a game-high 21 points and added nine rebounds. Chevaneese Milington recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds off the Cougars bench. Jordon Wright scored 13 points off the bench on 6-10 shooting from the field. LisBeth Pineda Polanco scored 12 points. Grace McComb had a team high seven assists to go with her seven points.
Genesee returns home on Saturday, January 26, as they welcome reigning NJCAA Division II Women’s Basketball National Champion #10 Monroe Community College with tip-off scheduled for 1:00pm.
