WOMEN’S SOCCER SHUTOUTS CAYUGA
BATAVIA, NY… The nationally-ranked Genesee Community College women’s soccer team earned their fifth victory of the season Wednesday afternoon, by shutting out the Cayuga Community College Spartans 9-0.
Diante Scheepers scored two goals to propel the Cougars offense. Julia Ashworth had a goal and an assist with Alexa Jordan scoring a goal and adding two assists. Macie Riggs, Autumn Ressue, Sarah Gregori, Michaela Curletta, and Brianna Davis each scored for the Blue and Gold.
Madison Papaj and Alexa Salatel split time between the pipes for Genesee to record the shutout.
#9 Genesee (5-2) travels to Tompkins Cortland Community College on Tuesday, September 24 for an NJCAA Region III contest. Game time is at 4pm.
