Genesee Back on Winning Track After Victory
The Genesee Community College men’s basketball team earned their seventh victory of the 2018-19 season on Wednesday night as they defeated the Bryant & Stratton College of Syracuse Bobcats 97-79.
The Cougars offense was propelled by a game-high 19 points from Javin Williams. Genesee Male Athlete of the Week Jarett Haines continued his strong start to the season by adding 18 points. Jamir Cheek scored 14 points and dished out eight assists. Shaquille Ricks produced a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. With the win, Genesee improves their record to 7-2 while the Bobcats drop to 1-10.
Genesee is back in action this weekend as they host the 2018 Cougar Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament. Genesee takes on NY International Academy on Saturday, December 8 at 7:00 pm and then play host to Bryant & Stratton College (Ohio) on Sunday, December 9 at 5:00 pm. Both games will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
