Man Killed in Crash Involving Off-duty Ambulance

A weekend crash on Route 63 in the Town of Bethany claims the life of a Williamsville man.
61 year old Syed Rahman was northbound on Route 63 late Saturday night when he drifted over the center line and struck a Bethany Fire Department ambulance.
The ambulance was out of service being returned to the fire department following an EMS call.
Rahman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The ambulance was driven by Bethany fireman James Duval.
He and his passengers, Melody Davis and Christopher Page, both B were taken to UMMC for treatment.
Deputies say the crash remains under investigation.
