Forcible Robbery and Assault in Alabama lands an Albion woman in lock up.
32 year old Holly Squires of West Bank Street Albion was accused of forcibly stealing money and injuring someone during an attempted robbery.
She was arrested following the reported incident Sunday evening on Church Street in Alabama.
Apparently Squires didn’t act alone in the incident, and was aided by another unnamed individual.
She now faces charges of Robbery and Assault with intent to cause physical injury.
Squires was remanded in lieu of $5,000 bail to the Genesee County Jail.
She is expected to appear in Alabama Town Court on June 7th.
Search for a missing 14 month old continues today in Wayne County.
Law men located the body of 18 year old Selena Hidalgo-Calderon on a farm in Sodus last week after family members reported their concerns over Selena and her young sons’ whereabouts.
Selena’s fourteen-month-old child Owen Hidalgo-Calderon was never located following an amber alert issued last week and law enforcement believes the search will end in a recovery rather than a rescue.
Hidalgo-Calderon’s boyfriend Alberto Reyes has been arrested and apparently admitted to police to burying the 18 year old woman in a bag in the woods.
Over 170 people helped search the farm yesterday for any trace of little Owen.
The Wayne County Sheriff says they are committed to find him even though they don’t expect to find him alive.
Man arrested for vandalism at the Red Osier Restaurant.
Troopers out of Batavia arrested 52 year old Michael Joanette of Pavilion on a felony count of Criminal Mischief for allegedly smashing out the windshield of a car sitting in the parking lot of the Red Osier in Stafford.
Police released security photos from the incident that were posted by our news partner The Batavian.
Troopers say they received numerous tips identifying Joanette.
He was remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $20,000 bail pending an appearance in Stafford Court.
Genesee County Deputies have arrested 15 youngsters during the Darien Lake concert this past weekend.
The highly anticipated Post Malone show kicked off Saturday at the Performing Arts Center however law enforcement wasn’t there to enjoy the music.
Officers arrested 15 people ranging in age from 17 to 23.
They face various charges ranging from trespassing to disorderly conduct, one for having fake IDs and another for having brass knuckles.
Batavia man arrested for obstruction of breathing in Bethany.
54 year old James Young of Thomas Ave was arrested and charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle following investigation into a reported incident on Bethany Center Road Friday.
Young was allegedly using a female’s vehicle without her consent and after the woman confronted him about returning the vehicle he became physically violent obstructing her breathing.
Young was released under Genesee Justice Supervision.
Buffalo is hosting the NHL combine again.
This week promising young NHL hopefuls will be evaluated at the KeyBank Center and Harbor Center ahead of the draft.
This is the fourth consecutive year Buffalo has hosted hockey prospects ahead of the draft but this year the Sabres get first pick.
The physical tests will begin on Friday. Buffalo will host the event next year for the fifth year in a row.
