A North Carolina man accused of threatening an officer in Geneseo remains at-large.
The suspect David Morgan of Wilmington, North Carolina is considered armed and dangerous according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.
Lawmen say he was subject to a traffic stop yesterday on Route 63 when he then threatened the officer pulling out a gun before running from the scene into a nearby cornfield.
Preliminary reports revealed the officer discharged his weapon in the incident.
Approximately 100 officers along with air support and K9 units were on the scene with the manhunt continuing this morning.
A woman who was in the vehicle during the stop was taken into custody.
Morgan is described as a white male, 5 foot 9 inches tall, 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, grey baseball cap and blue jeans.
Officers say to immediately call 9-1-1 if you see him.

Vacant building in the City holds a scaly surprise for local law enforcement.
A vacant building on Lehigh Avenue in Batavia was temporarily home to a four foot alligator.
Police discovered the reptile on Monday before notifying the Department of Environmental Conservation to handle the animal.
After the DEC officer took custody of the gator it was then turned over to the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester.
It is illegal to possess an alligator in New York State without a permit.

A Downstate resident jailed for violating court order in Pembroke.
53 year old Shawn Springsteen of Poughkeepsie New York was taken into custody by deputies following a domestic incident at a truck stop on Route 77 in Pembroke.
He was accused of violating a court order of protection by being in the presence of a protected party and was charged with first degree Criminal Contempt.
Springsteen was jailed in lieu of bail and is due back in Pembroke Town Court on August 2nd.

Governor Cuomo is ready to make a criminal referral against the Donald J. Trump Foundation.
The governor’s legal adviser said yesterday the state is prepared to provide New York’s attorney general with a criminal referral on the matter, if asked.
David Alphonso noted the move comes at Governor Cuomo’s direction.
New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood filed a civil lawsuit against President Trump and the Trump Foundation in June.
It accused Trump of violating federal law by using the nonprofit as a personal checkbook for his 2016 presidential campaign and other expenses.

The Muckdogs cut down Crosscutters for second night in a row.
Batavia beat Williamsport 2 to 1 last night to take the three game set.
The Muckdogs look to sweep the series tonight before landing back in Batavia to take on Mahoning Valley for a three game stretch.

Paving Operations to close Margaret Place in Batavia.
Margaret Place in the City will be closed to all through traffic between 7 AM and 5 PM for paving purposes.
During the closure drivers will need to find alternative routes.
As per usual the work is weather dependent.
