Investigators identify homicide victim in the city.
Police have released the victim’s identity of an apparent homicide at a boarding house for parolees in the city.
Following report of a physical altercation in one of the rooms at 111 Liberty Street at around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night, responding officers located an injured resident, 47 year old Raymond Lee Morgan.
Morgan had sustained significant injuries and after officers had requested EMS response, Morgan died at the scene.
Morgan is described by police as a white male who was on Parole for drug charges at the time of his death.
He was also well known to local police and had an extensive history of arrest.
A description of the suspect has not been released pending further investigation according to Police Chief Shawn Heubusch.
The murder does not appear to be a random act of violence and Investigators say the suspect and victim likely knew each other.
Investigation continues, and more details are expected to be released pending autopsy results slated for today.
Orleans County rollover crash claims the life of a former Albion resident.
One driver is dead and another injured after a crash between two trucks at the intersection of State Route 31A and Fancher Road in Clarendon late Tuesday night.
40 year old Kevin Lupiani of Medina failed to stop at a stop sign while driving a flatbed truck across 31A according to authorities.
He reportedly collided with the eastbound pickup heading down Fancher Road.
Lupiani was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where was listed in stable condition.
Both vehicles ended up in a cornfield in the rollover crash leaving the pickup truck driver 25 year old Matthew Gardner of Hamlin seriously injured.
Gardner was transported to Strong West in Brockport where he later died from his injuries.
Investigation into the crash is on-going.
The wife of Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly says his latest scans show he’s cancer-free.
Earlier this year, Kelly had surgery to remove oral cancer from part of his jaw.
His wife says while the Hall of Famer is in some pain, he’s otherwise healthy.
Kelly said earlier this month he’s still scheduled to have another procedure in September.
The Muckdogs tie up series with Staten Island.
Batavia pulled ahead of the Staten Island Yankees with a 5 to 4 win in last night’s match up.
They finish out their series with the Yankees in Dwyer Stadium with a day game this morning.
