Darien man behind bars accused of possessing child porn.
Federal agents arrested 29 year old Alexander Seegar of Darien Center following a criminal complaint that he was inappropriately communicating with underage girls and in possession of numerous photos of child pornography.
Seegar is accused of sexting 10 to 12 year old female students in a Niagara County school while posing as a 16 or 17 year old boy.
He allegedly requested they send him sexually explicit photos in the conversations.
Seegar has been charged with receipt and possession of child pornography and now faces a minimum of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years, along with a quarter million dollar fine if he is convicted.
He is currently being held pending a detention hearing scheduled for this Friday.

Lengthy prison sentence handed to child porn producer in Livingston County.
43 year old Bryan Matacale of Nunda was sentenced yesterday after being conviction of production of child pornography and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.
According to prosecutors, officials in Belgium reached out to ICE and Homeland Security Investigators after a Belgian citizen said he was paid several times for disturbing videos and images of his four and six year old daughters.
The man sent approximately a dozen photos and reported that Matacale said the images would be used for a “research” report.
Matacale was also accused of requesting and receiving naked pictures from a 16 year old girl in Vermont through online conversations.
He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Kid Rock concert goers get aggressive and nine end up in cuffs.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested nine people during the Friday night Kid Rock and Brantley Gilbert Concert at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center.
Three people were taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct after allegedly engaging in a fight and one was arrested after allegedly interfering with Deputies breaking up a fight.
Two were charged with Harassment for allegedly punching another patron in the face and for threatening to harm a Live Nation Security Officer and two concert goers were additionally picked up on outstanding arrest warrants and turned over to outside law enforcement agencies.
All nine were given appearance tickets returnable to Darien Town Court on October 16th.

Hydrant Flushing happening tomorrow.
The City of Batavia Fire Department will be flushing fire hydrants tomorrow and Thursday, from around 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the area north of Main Street and east of Bank Street.
