LeRoy Woman arrested under Leandra’s Law.
LeRoy Police report the arrest 26 year old Trisha Park of LeRoy for allegedly driving drunk with a child.
Park was stopped Friday night on Wolcott St in the Village for driving without a headlight.
Patrols allegedly noticed a strong Marijuana odor emanating from the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed she was allegedly in possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia while being impaired by drugs.
Park was charged with a class E felony count of Aggravated DWI for having a child passenger under 15 years of age inside the vehicle, along with endangering the welfare of a child and pot possession.
Park was taken into custody without incident and after being evaluated for drugs was released under supervision.
She is due back in LeRoy Village Court on December 20th.
Accused fentanyl dealer busted by Local Drug Task Force.
60 year old Jack Benson of St. Mary’s Street, Pavilion was apprehended on an arrest warrant following a traffic stop in Stafford Friday afternoon.
He is accused of selling fentanyl to a Drug Task Force agent on three different occasions and at the time of his arrest he was allegedly found in possession of 24 doses of heroin and 13-hundred dollars in cash.
38 year old Jolynn Gorski of Batavia who was a passenger in the vehicle was also taken into custody for allegedly being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was released with an appearance ticket after being charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Benson is facing six Class B level felonies for criminal dug sales and possession and now has additional charges pending following his arrest.
He was ordered to be held in the Genesee County Jail without bail.
Pavilion man busted for drugs in Batavia after falling asleep in his vehicle.
Deputies took 24 year old Stephen Milroy of Perry Road Pavilion into custody after he was found unconscious sleeping in his vehicle in the Batavia Downs Parking Lot.
He was allegedly found in possession of pot and other drugs and was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Milroy was released with an appearance ticket for December 17th in Batavia Town Court.
Basom woman arrested for drunk driving through Batavia.
22 year old Christie Lynn of Council House Road was stopped by Sheriff’s Deputies for speeding down Lewiston Road in Batavia in the early morning hours yesterday.
She was charged with DWI, speeding and Unlicensed Operation and released with an appearance ticket for Batavia Town Court on December 17th.
A Buffalo businessman is expected to be sentenced in federal court today.
The Buffalo News reports Louis Ciminelli will be in Manhattan to find out how long he’ll be behind bars for his role in a bid-rigging scheme.
Prosecutors say Ciminelli would steer state funds toward his business.
They’re asking that not only Ciminelli receive a stiff prison sentence, but that he also be required to pay back the money he took.
Governor Cuomo will be getting involved in national political issues.
He’s been elected as the top Democrat to serve on the National Governors Association.
Cuomo says he’s looking forward to working with Republicans to try to solve some of the country’s biggest issues.
Last week, Cuomo announced he would not be running for president in 2020.
