Bethany man behind bars for threatening with a weapon.
Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested 57 year old Kevin Compton of Clipnock Road in Bethany after responding to a domestic incident.
Report of a man threatening two people with a pistol drew lawmen to respond to the Clipnock road residence Saturday afternoon where they located Compton and placed him into custody.
He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon along with two counts each of Reckless Endangerment, Unlawful imprisonment and Menacing.
Compton was remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail and is expected to reappear in Bethany Town Court on January 15th.
Ellicott Street man arrested for fight on New Year’s Day.
60 year old Ernest Lane of Ellicott Street was apprehended by Police in Batavia after being accused of injuring another person during a physical altercation in the city on New Year’s Day.
Lane was charged with a count of third degree Assault.
He was released with an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court tomorrow.
Another New Year’s Day altercation ends with arrest for an Oak Street resident.
Following report of an altercation at a Walnut Street residence on New Year’s Day, 28 year old Cody Wenner of Batavia was arrested.
Wenner is accused of pushing a juvenile to the ground during the incident and was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment.
He was issued an appearance ticket for City Court.
Batavia man busted for burglary in LeRoy.
Police in LeRoy report the arrest of 42 year old Nicholas Williams of West Main Road in Batavia following investigation into an incident at a Lake Street Residence in LeRoy in November.
Williams allegedly entered a protected party’s residence illegally and then tried stealing a laptop computer before he was interrupted and fled from the home.
He has been charged with Felony counts of Burglary and Criminal Contempt along with a count of Attempted Petit Larceny.
Williams was already being held in the Genesee County Jail due to an alleged Parole Violation and was remanded back without bail.
Alleged Child sexual abuse lands an Elba man in lock up.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of 35 year old Mark Tooley of Oak Orchard Road in Elba for allegedly having sexual contact with a victim under the age of 13.
The incident is said to have taken place at a Main Road address in Stafford last month.
Tooley was taken into custody on a Sealed Indictment Arrest Warrant that included charges of Sexual Abuse and Criminal Sexual Act both in the first degree along with Acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17.
He was ordered to be held in lieu of $10,000 bail in the Genesee County Jail.

The National Weather Service is calling for mixed precipitation and total ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch in the Weather Advisory for Genesee and Orleans Counties that goes into effect at 10 this morning and is expected to last until 10 tonight.
Forecasters say drivers should remain cautious for slippery roads and limited visibilities.
