String of burglaries at Batavia businesses.
Batavia police are investigating several weekend burglaries.
They say the suspects targeted businesses in the area of Ellicott and Jackson Street, Harvester Ave, Swan and Center Street, Apollo Drive and Liberty Street.
The suspects would break windows or doors to get inside the businesses, but didn’t always take items.
The suspects stole a white 1998 Dodge RAM from one of the businesses and may still be operating the vehicle.

A Stafford man is arrested for shining a laser on a military aircraft.
State Police have reported the arrest of 63 year old Kevin Pietrzykowski of Stafford on a Class A Misdemeanor count of Directing a laser at an aircraft in the 2nd degree.
Troopers responded to the town of Bergen last week after receiving a call from Rochester Airport Air Traffic Control Office on behalf of the National Guard Air Wing reporting that a military helicopter was being painted by a laser during night training.
Troopers patrolled the area ending in the arrest of Pietrzykowski on Clinton Street Road in Stafford.
Pietrykowski was released with an appearance ticket for Stafford Town Court in February.
Bergen woman accused of bilking former employer is now wanted by lawmen.
Michele Case, the former Homecare and Hospice employee accused of stealing over $14,000 from the care provider, failed to appear for her scheduled hearing in Genesee County Court yesterday morning.
Judge Charles Zambito issued a warrant for Case after she was absent from another hearing regarding her restitution in the case.
Public Defender in the matter, Jerry Ader didn’t oppose the warrant but said he planned to file an appeal challenging the County Court’s jurisdiction in the restitution case.
Winter Storm Watch going into effect for Wyoming County this evening.
Forecasters from the National Weather Service are calling for heavy lake effect snow accumulations of up 12 inches in the most persistent lake snows to the south with winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
The Winter Storm Watch for Wyoming, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie Counties goes into effect tonight and is expected to last through Thursday afternoon.
Governor Andrew Cuomo and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are pushing New York lawmakers to make Roe versus Wade part of state law.
Cuomo says he’s confident lawmakers will codify the federal abortion law soon and fears what Supreme Court judges might do.

The playing career of Kyle Williams isn’t over just yet.
Williams, who played 13 years with the Buffalo Bills, was chosen as a first alternate for the upcoming NFL Pro Bowl.
It’ll be his sixth appearance in the game.
Williams, who announced his retirement before the Bills’ final regular season game, had five sacks and 35 tackles this year.
