Albion House Fire leaves an elderly couple hospitalized.
Investigation into the cause of an Albion House Fire remains on-going.
According to Albion Police report came in just after 6 o’clock last night for a fire on Elmwood Avenue in Albion along with reports of explosions.
Upon arrival firefighters reported that the home was fully engulfed and that the victims, an elderly couple, were standing with burns in the front yard.
Mercy Flight was called into action and both were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of potentially serious burns.
Authorities have not released the names and conditions of the victims at this time.
Correction Officer in Pennsylvania arrested for larceny in Albion.
Following investigation into an incident at the Albion Walmart in November of last year, Troopers have arrested 47 year old Jeromy Farr of Olean for petit larceny.
State Police were notified by a Medina woman reporting that her purse containing personal items and $700 cash had been stolen from her shopping cart at the Albion Walmart.
Troopers obtained video surveillance from Walmart showing Farr taking the purse and putting it into his vehicle.
Farr was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Albion Court on January 23rd.
Farr is reported to be employed as a correction officer in Smethport, Pennsylvania.
LeRoy woman busted for possessing a stolen shotgun.
LeRoy Police arrested 46 year old Carla Catalano of Mill Street on Monday charging her with a Felony count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Conspiracy.
According to investigators Catalano allegedly conspired with others to steal property and was in possession of a stolen black pump shotgun that she refused to return to the owner.
Catalano was arraigned in LeRoy Town Court and released under the supervision of the Genesee Justice.
LeRoy resident arrested on a massive amount of suspensions.
26 year old Chazmar Walters of Myrtle Street LeRoy was taken into custody on Tuesday by Police in LeRoy.
He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation for Driving While Suspended and Resisting Arrest.
Walters was allegedly driving on Myrtle Street in the Village while his license was suspended 20 times.
Walters then is accused of resisting arrest by refusing to exit the vehicle after being ordered multiple times to do so, and ultimately had to be physical removed from the vehicle.
According to police Walters continued to be Obstructive to Officers attempting to walk him into the court for arraignment and further charges are pending.
Walters was committed to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Water Main Break reported in Batavia.
At approximately 3 a.m. there was a large water main break on North Street between Trumbull and North Spruce.
The main has been shut down, and crews are beginning repairs.
Residents in the area may experience low water pressure, or discoloration.
As per usual the city encourages residents in the area to wait until water clarity has returned before running laundry.
Motorists are also requested to avoid the area as the street may be closed while repairs are completed.
