Power Outages being assessed as High Wind Warning continues.
A high wind warning remains in effect this morning for much of the region including Genesee and Orleans Counties.
The National Weather Service has issued the warning until 10 a.m. this morning with westerly winds expected from 30 to 40 mph with gusts reaching up to 65.
Travel advisories are in effect in Monroe, Livingston, Orleans and Yates Counties until further notice.
Drivers can still be on the road but are being urged to use caution.
Some early morning flights out of Greater Rochester International Airport have also been delayed or canceled.
This same storm is responsible for extensive damage and power outages in other parts of Western New York.
According to National Grid there are approximately 1,400 customers without power in Genesee County as of this morning.
Workers are currently assessing the conditions in much of the county and they expect power to be restored to over 400 customers in Alabama by 6 p.m. tonight and around 200 in Batavia by 4 p.m. this afternoon.
Power in LeRoy, Byron and Stafford is not expected to be restored until 7 p.m.

A Canadian man is killed in a crash in LeRoy.
According to LeRoy Police a vehicle traveling north on Route 19 Sunday morning apparently failed to negotiate a curve at Clay and Wolcott streets and hit a concrete island before going airborne and crashing into a house on Clay street.
The backseat passenger of the vehicle, 22 year old Jamel Love, of Thorold, Ontario was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other two occupants were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital – one by Mercy Flight and one by ambulance.
They are in critical condition and their identities have not yet been released.
The crash remains under investigation.

Pratt Road resident busted for shoplifting and drug paraphernalia.
24 year old Michael Weichman of Batavia was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument following a reported incident of Shoplifting at the Tops Markets in Batavia.
Weichman was accused of trying to steal a full cart of items without paying for them and was additionally found with a hypodermic instrument upon his arrest.
He is expected to appear in City Court tomorrow.

The Buffalo Sabres have made a trade they hope helps booster their defense.
They’ve acquired Brandon Montour from the Anaheim Ducks.
In exchange, the Ducks receive defenseman Brendan Guhle and a first-round draft pick.
Montour has five goals and 20 assists in 62 games played this season.
The Sabres will be on the road tonight when they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
