North Spruce Street man apprehended on multiple warrants.
29 year old Justin Gladney of Batavia was arrested by City Police on three separate warrants out of City Court for a bench warrant and failing to appear along with Criminal Impersonation and Falsifying Business Records.
The warrants stem from two petit larceny charges and after Gladney allegedly provided police with a false name while he was being processed into the Genesee County Jail.
Gladney was ultimately remanded to the County clink in lieu of $15,000 bail to await his next court appearance.

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for the region.
An area of snow will continue to move across the Genesee Valley and western Finger Lakes early this morning according to the weather service.
Bursts of snow may greatly reduce visibility and although accumulations will be limited to around an inch it will result in slippery travel for the morning commute.

Warsaw man busted for drugged driving with possession.
Troopers out of Warsaw initiated a traffic stop for failing to use a turn signal within 100 feet on State Route 19, in Middlebury.
The driver was identified as 52 Shane Vasile of Warsaw and was arrested for Driving while ability impaired by drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
During the roadside investigation Troopers seized Marijuana, crack cocaine and hydrocodone pills from the vehicle.
Vasile was remanded to Wyoming County jail and is scheduled to return to the Town of Warsaw court on April 15th.

Deputies arrest a Darien man accused of harassment.
64 year old Lee Ezzell of Genesee Street in Darien was arrested the night of St. Patrick’s Day for allegedly striking the back of someone’s head at a Genesee Street address.
Ezzell was charged with second degree Harassment and issued an appearance ticket for Darien Town Court on April 2nd.

A Kent resident picked up by lawmen following a disturbance in the Walmart parking lot.
Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 29 year old Richard Neal of Roosevelt Highway in Kent on a count of Criminal Mischief.
Neal was accused of damaging another person’s vehicle while in the parking lot of the Walmart in Batavia.
He was issued an appearance ticket for April 1st in Batavia Town Court.

The state School Boards Association is sharing its thoughts on the potential legalization of recreational marijuana.
Officials want lawmakers to debate the issue outside of the ongoing state budget process.
They believe that would allow time to address important questions and closely look at the impact legislation could have on school kids.
The association isn’t saying if it’s for or against recreational marijuana legalization.
A new Siena poll shows 53 percent of New Yorkers support the idea.

The number of deaths from flu-related cases is on the rise in Monroe County.
Health officials say 10 people have now lost their lives, up from nine earlier this month.
As of March 9th, there have been 33-hundred confirmed cases of the virus this season.
At this time last year, 13 people had died from the flu and over 53-hundred confirmed cases had been reported.
