Dansville man sentenced for involvement in Meth dealing ring.
57 year old Kenneth Hoag of Dansville appeared in federal court for sentencing yesterday on a conviction of possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine.
According to prosecutors Hoag sold meth to an individual at his property, The Bone Yard, which is located on State Highway 36 in Dansville in April of 2017 and was also found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine located in his tool chest.
Hoag was sentenced to serve 12 months in prison and was also ordered to sell the Bone Yard property in Dansville, which Hoag used and maintained for the purpose of distributing meth.
Proceeds of the sale totaling $108,438.78 was forfeited to the Government.
Hoag is just one of seven defendants charged and convicted in the case.

Darien Center man pleads guilty to child porn charge.
29 year old Alexander Seegar of Darien Center pleaded guilty in federal court to Receiving Child Pornography yesterday morning.
Seegar was sexting 10-12 year old female students at a school in Niagara County, posing as a 16 or 17-year-old boy.
He reportedly used an Instagram profile to communicate with the girls and asked them for sexually explicit photos and was found in possession of numerous photos containing child pornography.
Seegar faces a minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of 20, and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced on September 19th.

An incident with a screwdriver in Stafford ends in arrest for one.
65 year old David Morgan of Roanoke Road in Stafford was taken into custody by Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies following investigation into an incident yesterday evening in Stafford.
Morgan was accused of intentionally scaring an individual with the threat of serious physical injury by displaying a screwdriver.
Morgan was charged with Menacing in the second degree and was released under supervision of Genesee Justice.

A trainer for the Empire United Soccer Academy club is in serious trouble with the law.
Prosecutors say they’ve arrested 41 year old Shelby Garigen, of Clarence Center, on child pornography charges.
Garigen is accused of having sexual conversations and sharing explicit photos with two teens.
Officials believe there may be more victims out there and are asking anyone with information to call them.

State lawmakers have reportedly struck a deal that will lower the penalties for possessing small amounts of marijuana.
The legislation calls for public possession of less than two ounces of marijuana to no longer be a misdemeanor.
Having an ounce or less would result in a fine of up to 50 dollars, and having between one and two ounces could lead to an up to 200 dollar penalty.
During a radio interview yesterday, Governor Cuomo said decriminalizing marijuana is a victory he’s been trying to achieve since 2013.
