Investigators trying to identify the remains of a body discovered in Lake Ontario.
Authorities said a fisherman made the grim find yesterday morning about three miles off the shore of Point Breeze.
The body was taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office to try and determine the identity of the person and cause of death.
Investigators said it appeared the body had been in the water for a few weeks.
Area missing person reports are being checked.
Gas prices are holding steady as the summer travel season ramps up.
According to Triple A, the average cost of a gallon of regular gas is now two-84.
That’s the same as last week and is only a two cent increase in the last month.
In Batavia: the average price is 2.86
It is day three of the Genesee County Fair.
It is Veteran’s Day at the fairgrounds.
Activities for today are highlighted by the 4H Market Auction Goat Show at 9 this morning. The Classic Rock band BB Dang from Rochester performs tonight at 7. The fair continues through Saturday.

Crossroads House says, please, no more Garage Sale donations.
The not for profit home for the terminally ill says they are completely out of storage space..
The annual Garage Sale for Crossroads house – the agency’s biggest fundraiser – will be held July 24th through the 27th.
The Batavia Muckdogs remain on top of the NYP Pinckney Division League.
They are a game behind Lowell for the overall league lead.
The Dogs beat Vermont Lake Monsters 3 to 1 yesterday.
The same two teams meet tonight in Vermont.
