A fatal crash on Harlow Road in Darien is the subject of investigation by State Police.
Investigators report that an SUV operated by an unnamed female driver blew through the intersection at Harlow and Sumner Roads Saturday afternoon before being struck by a pickup truck, sending both vehicles off the roadway.
The female driver of the SUV was killed in the crash.
The three passengers of the pickup truck were transported to the hospital.
State Police have yet to identify the woman or the other passengers of the truck.
A Medina man is facing DWI and other charges after Genesee County deputies say he caused a crash involving a train.
Deputies say 27 year old Brendan Kotarski stopped his car on the railroad tracks between Depot Street and Water Street in Corfu before midnight Sunday.
Kotarski and his passenger ran from the scene before a train hit his car, forcing it off the tracks.
He is charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and Reckless Endangerment.
When police arrived, they determined Kotarski was under the influence of alcohol.
Kotarski was released and is due back in Corfu Village Court on September 9th.
A Tonawanda man jailed without bail in connection with a two year old stabbing in the City.
Batavia Police have arrested 60 year old Carey Culverhouse on an arrest warrant out of Batavia City Court following an investigation into a stabbing on East Main Street that allegedly occurred in September of 2017.
Culverhouse was located by Tonawanda Police and turned over to local authorities were he was arraigned on a count of first degree Assault and committed to the Genesee County Jail without bail.
A Rochester resident is behind bars following a disturbance on North Spruce Street.
24 year old Alan Price of Chili Ave in Rochester was taken into custody on counts of Strangulation, Criminal Contempt and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Price was accused of causing the disturbance in April of this year and was ultimately ordered to be held on $5,000 bail in the county clink.
Walnut Street man in lock up after arrest for a prior Batavia burglary.
City Police have apprehended 27 year old Malik Ayala on a count of second degree Burglary for an incident on Naramore Drive back in October of last year.
Ayala was accused of illegally entering and stealing property from the residence.
After being arraigned and released in City Court Ayala was turned over to Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies who are holding him on unrelated charges.
20 total arrested at Darien Lake concerts over the weekend.
Only one individual was arrested during the KISS concert Friday evening.
51 year old Richard Quesnelle of Ontario Canada was arrested for Harassment after allegedly pushing another patron to the ground and may be the last person arrested at a KISS concert in Western New York as this was said to be the bands final “farewell” tour.
19 people were arrested at Saturday’s Florida Georgia Line Concert, with the majority of the offenders from outside the area including seven from Ontario Canada and only one Genesee County resident.
