Saratoga, NY Company seeks $156,000 in Tax Breaks from Genesee County

A Saratoga, NY based real estate investment company is seeking $156,000 in tax incentives from Genesee County.
Provident Batavia LLC plans to build a 13,000 sq. ft. addition to a warehouse it leases to SCP Pools, a swimming pool supply company.
The project totals $1.2-million. According to the Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) the project will retain 15 jobs at SCP Pools.
Because Provident is asking for over $100,000 in tax breaks, the project requires a public hearing if the GCEDC accepts the application at its board meeting this Thursday at 4 p.m. The meeting will be held at the GCEDC offices at 99 MedTech Drive in Batavia.
