An Albion man gets four years in state prison for the rape of a 12 year old girl last December.
35 year old Christopher Pressley of Albion pled guilty to a charge of Rape in the Second Degree.
Due to a previous conviction, he could have been sentenced to 7 years in prison.
His plea deal capped his jail time at 4 years plus 10 years of post-release supervision.

Batavia Downs cuts the ribbon on another facility.
The Downs opened the Gatsby Bar outside of Fortunes Restaurant.

The new bar is a throwback to the roaring twenties and features an art deco décor.

The Genesee County Economic Development Corporation has accepted an application from Graham Manufacturing for $130,000 in tax incentives.
Graham plans to invest nearly $1.1-million in capital improvements renovate and expand parts of its Batavia campus.
Graham says the project will help the company retain 291 jobs.

A new report shows more guns are being found at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
Last year, there were seven handguns found at TSA checkpoints. That’s an increase of four weapons from 2017.
Fines for anyone caught breaking the law can be 4-thousand dollars.

It looks like there’s no slowing down the spread of the flu. The New York State Health Department says there were 6,900 new cases of the virus confirmed during the week ending February 2nd.
That pushes the total number this season past 35,000. Doctors say as always, it’s never too late to get your flu shot.
