State Police report the arrest of 29 year old James Castonguay of Amherst, following a criminal complaint and a joint investigation with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.
Castonguay, a correction officer, was accused of having unlawful sexual relations with a female inmate at the Albion Correctional Facility in May of this year.
The joint investigation further alleged that Castonguay had unlawful sexual relations with a second female inmate in the Albion facility,
He was arrested Friday on four counts each of 3rd degree Criminal Sex Act and Official Misconduct and two counts of 3rd degree Rape.
Castonguay was released with an appearance ticket for Albion Town Court later this month.
Batavia man accused of punching Mercy Medics while in route to the hospital.
39 year old Michael Colombo of Batavia, is charged with second-degree assault on an officer after an incident on September first in Wyoming County.
Mercy medics were transporting Colombo to Wyoming County Community Hospital when he allegedly became combative in the ambulance punching both EMTs in the face and causing injuries.
He was later taken into custody and allegedly found to have an active arrest warrant for two counts of second-degree assault by the Batavia Police Department and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
Colombo is accused of head butting a Batavia Police officer during the exchange of custody, but did not injure the officer.
He was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail on $25,000 bail and is due back in Warsaw Town Court on September 16.
Ellsworth Ave man bused for selling suboxone in Batavia.
The Genesee County Local Drug Task Force took 33 year old Chad Bzduch of Ellsworth Ave into custody following an investigation into the sale of Adderall and Suboxone in and around Batavia.
Bzduch who is accused of selling drugs to an agent of the Drug Task Force on two separate occasions was apprehended on an active arrest warrant after he was seen walking down Bank Street in the city Thursday.
He was also allegedly found in possession of Fentanyl upon his arrest.
Bzduch is facing two counts of Criminal Sale and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and was ultimately released on his own recognizance.
Local Drug Task Force takes down an alleged cocaine dealer in the city.
38 year old Sergio Santana of State Street Batavia was arrested and charged with two counts each of Criminal Sale and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Santana was accused of selling a quantity of cocaine to an undercover task force agent on two separate occasions and was taken into custody on an active indictment warrant on Ellicott Street Thursday afternoon.
He was arraigned in Genesee County Court Friday and released on his own recognizance.
