LeRoy crash ends with a Buffalo woman behind bars.
26 year old Marissa Michaels-Connors of Buffalo was taken into custody by Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies following a one car crash on Vallance Road in LeRoy.
The accident reportedly occurred yesterday evening when Michaels-Connors moved from a lane unsafely while she was allegedly driving drunk on suspended license and using her cell phone.
Her license was reportedly suspended after striking a guide rail in a previous alcohol related incident.
Michaels-Connors was charged with DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Refusal to take a breath test and was ordered to be held in lieu of $1,500 bail in the Genesee County Jail.

Walmart shoplifters arrested in possession of drugs in Batavia.
33 year old City residents Brandon March of South Main Street and Ian Lablanc Chatt of Hart Street were arrested following investigation into a larceny complaint from the Walmart in Batavia Friday afternoon.
Leblanc Chat allegedly walked out the department store with a stolen 18 ounce can of Rain X and shortly after that both men were arrested and found in possession of drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
Both March and Lablanc Chatt were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia and Conspiracy.
They are expected in Batavia Town Court on September 20th.

Batavia man busted for bringing a weapon to probation.
City Police arrested 20 year old Giancarlo Miranda of West Saile Drive last week after he allegedly brought a knife into the Genesee County Probation Building on Main Street in the city.
He was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon on County Property and was released with an appearance ticket.
Miranda is slated to appear tomorrow afternoon in Batavia City Court.

Governor Cuomo is denying he knew anything about a campaign mailer that accused challenger Cynthia Nixon of being anti-Semitic.
The mailer was sent out by the New York State Democratic Committee and urged people not to vote for Nixon, saying she wouldn’t quote “stand strong” for the Jewish community.

The committee has released a statement admitting it sent out a wrong mailer and promised to work with the Nixon campaign to send out one of their own choosing.
Nixon called the flyer sickening adding that her children are being raised Jewish and that she and her wife are members of a synagogue.

Water out on Walnut Street in the City.
A large water main break was discovered off of Walnut St along the power line Right of Way at approximately 2am this morning.
Customers on Walnut St (South of the Railroad Tracks), and Law St are without water service at this time.
Crews are on site to shut down the water main and begin repairs.
